Abstract

This master’s thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a mobile inertial-roller test bench for measuring low-power single-track vehicles, in particular electric scooters and minibikes. The introduction presents a review of existing technical solutions for power measurement and explains the principles by which they operate. Based on a comparison of these methods, a structural concept for the mobile test bench is proposed, with an emphasis on compact dimensions and overall simplicity. The thesis then describes the design and realization of the measurement chain, which employs an incremental encoder and an Arduino microcontroller. The resulting prototype was tested under laboratory conditions, achieving high measurement accuracy with an average deviation of less than 7 revolutions per minute. The final device, measuring 1300 × 310 × 290 mm and weighing 42.7 kg, is intended primarily for in-field verification of legislative compliance for electric scooters.
