The bachelor thesis deals with a design of a coal dust feeder. Fuel is removed from a top-filled bin with a flat bottom. The coal dust feeder is structurally designed for transported quantity of QV = 12 [m3.h-1]. The operational height of a vertical valve feeder is h = 130 [mm] and its inner diameter is D = 800 [mm]. The optimum operational rotation speed of a rotary feeder is nopt = 9,2 [min-1].
The thesis includes a research of appropriate feeder types. Transported material is measured for obtaining selected mechanical and physical properties of bulk solid. The obtained values are used for the technological calculation and the design of the feeder. Structural calculations are made further. The assembly drawing is documented in the enclosure of the bachelor thesis.
