Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the using of compressed air heat from a high-pressure compressor installed in an oxygen plant. The theoretical part is focused to the description of the existing technology, the existing system of using heat from the air in a heat exchanger for nitrogen heating and it`s analysis of operating data. The heat balance is created and the heat exchanger efficiency is calculated from the obtained operating data in the practical part of thesis. There are also created a computing program for determination of the heat transfer coefficient and necessary heat exchange surface size in the practical part. Based on this computing program the theoretical design of the new heat exchanger for using in the new designed air separation technology is made in the final part including of expressing possible operating saves.
