Abstract

This bachelor thesis is dealing with production technology of forging die by machining method. The introduction part is focused on analysis of forging dies concerning usage, materials, heat treatment and surface finish. The following part focuses on process of the methodology of machining the forging dies. Then, a part is focus on producing the forging die. In this part, a process of production – from choosing the material to production of the forging die using the universal CNC milling machine DMU 50 – is described. The final part of the thesis evaluates the mistakes during the milling and suggests measures in order to avoid the mistakes in the following milling.
