Abstract

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the influence of process fluids for drilling deep holes. The introduction outlines the history and fundamentals of drilling technology. Followed by a list of the most commonly used tools for drilling deep holes. An integral part of the deep drilling is supply and the type of process fluid. Appropriately selected process fluid at the correct flow and pressure allows for the proper cutting speed increases, hence reducing machining time and longer tool life generally. In conclusion, the thesis deals with the comparison of the measured parameters of the surface roughness of the hole. Holes are drilled in the same material, by the same instrument and under the same cutting conditions. Variable there is in the experimental part of the process medium only. Taking on the basis of testing evaluated the influence of the medium on the final surface roughness of the made hole.
