Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the problems of contact angle and surface tension. In the initial part I dedicate my attention to the theory of contact angle and surface tension. The aim of the practical part was to do, describe and evaluate the first and the second experiment. Water and oil were used as testing mediums in both the experiments. In the first experiment I tried to find the contact angle on different surfaces. Digital camera and CAD software were used to record and evaluate the experiment. The second experiment recorded the process of the fall and landing of the drop by the high-speed camera. I used the camera called Photron FASTCAM Mini UX50. In the first experiment was proved that the contact angle for water is worse than for oil. In the second experiment the most interesting video, where a water drop was faling to water, was analysed.
