Optimisation of Assembly Line Using Lean Principles

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the optimization of bicycle assembly lines in Darfon Electronics Czech s.r.o. The diploma thesis deals with the importance of production and the general goal of this diploma thesis. The theoretical part contains general characteristics of solved problematics and basic concepts. Analyses such as production process analysis, pivot table analysis of previous production volume, time studies, analysis of capacity in the final assembly operation, and VSM were done. Based on analyses made in the company production system, it is identified various potential wastes which increase the process lead time. To eliminate the identified waste and improve the company production system to meet customer satisfaction, the 5S Internal audit form is prepared, along with this lean table trolley/tool trolley, SMED is proposed.
