Abstract

Today, great emphasis is placed on safety of control systems. For design of safety systems is used a standard IEC 61850, where are designed applications and devices certified to safety integrity level (SIL) and are used only with High Integrity controllers. Another important factor is the increase in energy efficiency and safety of electrical substations and power plants, which deals with standard IEC 61850. This standard is designed to enhance interoperability between intelligent electronic devices from different manufacturers and the replacement of older communication protocols and buses using standard IEC 61850th. The practical part of the diploma thesis is focused on creating a software simulator of a simple technological unit control system without SIL certification. As technological unit was simulated tank with the fluid, which has analog controlled inlet valve and digitally controlled outlet valve. Creating the simulator was made in an environment of the Control Builder M ABB, where were created three control modules. These modules simulate inlet and outlet valve, tank with fluid and level control in the tank. For a control module Rizeni_ST, in which has been programmed level control, simple visualization was created for controlling water level in the tank and the inflow into the tank.
