Abstract

This master thesis deals with the design of test bench for bellows mechanical life and tightness testing. The purpose of the device is to mechanically strain tested bellows and to monitor the formation of the leakage caused by the creation of fatigue cracks depending on the number of load cycles performed. The introduction is a brief insight into the current market situation of these devices. After defining the basic requirements for the test bench and the methodology of bellows straining, the design itself follows. It is divided into three main parts: vacuum apparatus design, load mechanism design and test bench frame design. In each of these parts, first is an overview of possible solutions, a comparison of all possible variants followed by the design itself or the choice of specific components and their composition into a functional unit. The design of the device itself is complemented by the design of a test bench accessory so that the whole device serves as one functional unit.
