Abstract

This master thesis deals with the regulation and design of welded ball valve with pressure envelope. Introduction is devoted to ball valves, armatures overview, basic division and assessment of possible structures. Furthermore, search for types of usable welds is included in the work. Thesis also address the implementation of important structural component, which is a sealing bushing in the throat ball valve. Structural elements of the ball valve and its most important parts are also mentioned. The reasoning of the current design is discussed within the thesis. In conclusion, the structural solution of the thesis is justified. Assembly drawing of the ball valve, its design and proposed or modified components are located in the Annex.
