Studie alternativního paliva z odpadu makovic

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of different pellet diameters on their mechanical properties, energy parameters, emission production in an automatic boiler and transport characteristics during transport by axleless screw conveyor. Waste poppy biomass was first characterized by analyzing the angle of repose, particle size distribution, bulk density and moisture content. Subsequently, it was processed into pellets with diameters of 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm. The pellets were evaluated for mechanical properties, including bulk density and specific gravity, mechanical resistance, wettability and hardness, as well as energy parameters such as calorific value and elemental analysis. Finally, combustion tests and transport test of pellets using a tailless screw were carried out. The pelletization, combustion and pellet transport processes were carried out in pilot units.
