Abstract

This master thesis, solve the change of microstructure and mechanical properties of bolts of flange joint. Specifically their change caused by heat exposur. First, the general structure of metallic materials is described in the theoretical part. Further there is a study of materials used in the energy industry. Screw connections are described in connection with the experimental part. The experimental part deals with the change of material properties of screws. Tensile testing and microhardness measurements were performed as a part of mechanical properties testing. During the metallographic analysis, the macrostructure and microstructure were checked. The final part of the work evaluates the changes in material properties and describes possible causes of stud bolts degradation
