Abstract

The goal of the Diploma thesis is in the most effective way to design and set up an adaptive postprocessor for the selected software EdgeCam and production equipment such as DMG MORI SEIKY NLX 2500MC/700 with the control system MAPPS IV. The first chapter focuses on the characteristics of the CAD/CAM system and the specific software EdgeCam. The second chapter presents detailed information about the specific machine equipment, and is determined by the composition of the CNC code for the machine control system. The purpose of the third chapter is a proposal of the postprocessor. The fourth chapter is dedicated to creating technological process components in order to verify the proper postprocessor settings. As a conclusion, the CNC code generated by the proposed postprocessor is verified by production of a concrete model part.
