Abstract
This Master Thesis is oriented on design of cogeneration unit, a source of electric power and a heat for the college area of VSB – TU Ostrava. At the beginning I show a type of cogeneration technologies, their characteristics and comparsion. Own concept solution includes four options. The first two units run on vegetable oil, the other two on natural gas. Then follows a design storage vessel and a calculation the energy balance for each variant. The economic evaluation of options and comparsion them by each type of used fuel are shown at the end of the work. As a result is evaluate the best options. As optimal was chosen the third variation, which runs on natural gas and achieve the highest profit at the end of the reporting period. The units run on vegetable oil that were found as a economically disadvantageous.
