Abstract

This diplome thesis analyzes the determinants of wages in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The thesis clarifies the issue of the Mincer wage function, investment in human capital and other factors affecting the level of wages. Using the results of empirical literature, the determinants of wages were chosen and this group of determinants was examined in the questionnaire survey. The data collected from the survey results were analyzed using stochastic regression model. The aim of the thesis was to determine the effect of each determinants of wages to their levels in the Region. The most important determinants of wages in the Moravian-Silesina Region are the education, work experience, gender and knowledge of foreigns languages.
