Abstract
This dissertation thesis deals with problem of swinging of a load at the start of an overhead crane or electric hoist.
Firstly, a definition of problem called swinging of a load with reference to fleet angle onto grooved cable drum is stated, as well as a description of the present state in this field. This description includes the systems and means available in the European market that restrict the load swinging.
The main part of dissertation thesis deals with improvement of the mathematical theory that describes a motion of an overhead crane and electric hoist. The next degree of freedom is considered, thus the innovated mathematical theory also deliberates the load shape.
An approximate solution of the mathematical description of crane or hoist motion makes it possible to plot charts of deflection and acceleration of the inquired unknowns as well as to determine the maximal value of electric hoist acceleration. At this acceleration value, the allowed values of wire rope and load deflection, which may be set in approximate solution, will be adhered.
An accuracy of innovated mathematical description and its solution was experimentally verified on a measurement assembly constructed for the purposes of this dissertation thesis. Design and calculation of the measurement assembly are stated as well.
The last part of this dissertation thesis includes an evaluation of reached results as well as the comments and recommendation for the next progress in solution of this problem.
