Abstract
The diploma thesis focuses on the design of a furnace functioning as a reactor intended for the thermal decomposition of materials from the field of organic chemistry. The device operates in continuous mode. The mechanisms of thermal decomposition of polymers, which serve as input materials for the chemical process, are described. A requirement specification was created for the design. Based on the input parameters from this specification, the structural design of the device was carried out. The individual structural components of the device are described and supplemented with the necessary structural and operational calculations. The design is further expanded by a cost analysis of the manufacturing expenses of the technological unit.
