Abstract

The bachelor thesis is dealing with the creation of a manual for the handling of international air shipments in the security restricted area of the airport. The introduction of the thesis is focused on the conditions for transporting different types of air shipments. The next section is devoted to the accompanying documentation concerning general and dangerous goods. This section is followed by a chapter dealing with security screening of consignments, its types and a brief description of the secure supply chain. Shipment handling and the technical characteristics of aircraft pallets and containers are also described. The output of this thesis is a manual for the handling of international air shipments, which includes procedures and recommendations, which are also presented at the end of the thesis.
