Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to design signal plans for light- controlled intersections, exploiting the mathematical models by Prof. Černý and Prof. Janáček. Xpress IVE optimizing software was used for data processing. The introduction of the thesis deals with the description of individual mathematical models, optimization criteria and functions used in this work. The design of seven signal plans is based on varied optimization criteria and purpose-built functions, which were further assessed as regards capacity. The final part aims at the evaluation of the designed signal plans, green signal periods and capacity assessment.
