Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with speed control of a high-speed three-phase asynchronous motor. The theoretical part contains an introduction to the possibilities of asynchronous motor control, the selected frequency converter, the motor used and the Siemens Simatic S7-1500 control system. The practical part describes the implementation of a structure for mounting the used motor together with an external shaft speed sensor, overall interconnection of individual system elements, signal processing from the speed sensor and creation of control program for PLC, enabling control of engine speed together with the possibility of setting other required parameters (start-up time, direction of rotation, etc.). The final part of the work is focused on the creation of a visualization application, allowing you to enter parameters for engine speed control, data archiving and their appropriate interpretation for users.
