Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and testing of turning geometry VBD with a focus on its utility properties. This project was carried out in cooperation with Pramet Tools as a help in the design, production and testing of VBD. The main aim of the thesis is to test formation and breaking chips by the cutting insert four newly designed and constructed interchangeable cutting inserts with the same type of breaker, which has other angles 8 °, 13 °, 20 ° and 30 °. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical knowledge of the given problems, which is necessary for the understanding and evaluation of the results in the following experimental part, from which the results of this work have emerged for the practical use of different angles of fusers used in different cutting conditions and types of turning operations.
