Abstract

In this bachelor thesis we will analyze the run-up of a mill wheel drive system of a power plant. First we explain the principle of a thermal power plant and then we move to description of how the whole system of the hydrodynamic coupling functions. After we calculate the time necessary for the start-up of the electric motor in idle mode, we will further deal with the start-up of the mill wheel, which is dependent on how the hydrodynamic coupling fills and slides. We describe the run-up limit and different alternatives of its calculation (simplified as well as the precise method). The objective of this thesis as well as of the calculation itself is to propose such a rate of the hydrodynamic coupling filling so that the start-up time would be as short as possible and the electric motor would be in working state of a torque characteristic.
