Abstract

This bachelor thesis is dealing with testing of tool life of ceramics cutting tools at interrupted cut. The basis is aimed at cuttings ceramics, their properties and uses. Chapter elaborates the problems of thermal and mechanical shocks that arise during interrupted turning. Then is describes the methodology of testing, design of experimental tests and their evaluation. Were tested 3 types of cutting ceramics of manufacturer KYOCERA. Ceramic cutting tools type of A65, A66N, KS6000 and PT600M were subjected to the test at two different speeds. Machined material was steel 15 128 (13MoCrV6). Monitoring was shock numbers, the appreciation in the last part of thesis together with the respective graphical relations and photos of cutting inserťs tool wear.
