Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design the optimal door hinge design for a specific domestic appliance. In the introduction, the available hinge solutions for furniture were compared. Then, a representative is selected from a survey in the field of furniture hinges, for which the kinematics has been verified in CATIA. Subsequently, according to the specified requirements for an opening angle of 150°, a suitable hinge design for a domestic appliance is proposed. Based on the design proposal, a 3D model of the hinge is created, and the production technology and material of the individual hinge parts are designed. Then the screws connecting the hinge together with the front wall of the domestic appliance and the appliance door are selected and verified. Finally, the hinge load is verified by finite element method, where the design of the hinge is verified under the breaking force and gravity load in ANSYS 2021 R1.
