Abstract
This master thesis deals with design methodology and an evaluation of fatigue tests of gear wheels. The introduction presents the methods of fatigue testing of gears as well as insights into the history of fatigue testing. Thesis contains a theoretical description of the stepwise method and design own evaluation process. Based on the supplied set of samples from the Tatra, a. s. company is evaluated the fatigue limit of materials 14 224 and ZF1A. Furthermore, it evaluates the contribution shot peening to enhance fatigue properties. Thesis contains the calculation of stress in the tooth root of the standard DIN, FEM and of strain gauges. Followed by the design method of single tooth bending test, design of test specimens and the clamping with strength control by FEM. The final part presents the results of metallographic analysis of test specimens. Work is complemented by numerous attachments, drawing documentation and test specimens.
