Možnosti reverzního inženýrství v leteckém průmyslu

Abstract

This master's thesis focuses on creating a CAD model of a jet engine turbine blade using reverse engineering. The scanned data are intended as a basis for toolpath generation in CAM programming for robotic grinding. The thesis aims to identify a suitable combination of a 3D scanner and reverse engineering software capable of producing an accurate and editable CAD model applicable in the aerospace industry. Laser and optical 3D scanning technologies were compared, with emphasis placed on the quality of the polygonal mesh, particularly in the blade’s leading and trailing edges. Based on the highest-quality scanned data, several model variants were created using different modelling approaches in two reverse engineering software tools. A comparison was conducted between Geomagic Design X and ZEISS Reverse Engineering in terms of their suitability for modelling this specific component. The most appropriate CAD model variant was identified concerning time efficiency, accuracy relative to the scanned data, and applicability for CAM programming.
