Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the possibilities of using unmanned aerial and underwater vehicles in the underground environment of deep mines. The thesis is based on a review of scientific literature and foreign studies, supplemented by an analysis of operational conditions in deep mines and a case study of an intervention in Zlaté Hory. It also includes an analysis of the legislative framework and technical requirements for the operation of these systems. Based on the conducted analysis, the main areas of application of unmanned systems in underground and underwater environments are identified. The thesis primarily highlights applications in mapping, monitoring, inspection, and rescue operations, including the associated risks and operational limitations. The contribution of the thesis lies in the evaluation of the potential of these technologies to improve safety and efficiency in deep mining, as well as in proposing possible directions for their further application and research within the conditions of the Czech Republic.
