Abstract
The dissertation thesis is focused on influence of grinding stock (i. e. amount of material to be removed from a part to reach the required measurements) during grinding of bearing rings. Grinding stock must remain on a ring after so-called soft turning operation. Material stock for given ring measurement influences total production cycle time for grinding operation and thereby directly influences final product price. At the same time, the stock influences final product quality as well as amount of faulty parts caused by incorrect grinding stock size. The experimental part analyses grinding stock currently used in production of bearing rings in company Koyo Bearings. Subsequently, new amount of grinding stock is proposed based on the analysis and they are verified in test job orders.
