Abstract

This diploma thesis suggests some improvements in processing technology for magnesia bricks. The key change proposed is the replacement of the working of magnesia bricks from wet grinding to dry grinding. The study is closely linked to the master thesis of the author, which described a newly developed machine for working of magnesia bricks by dry grinding, the Grinder B600, produced by Strojírny Trinec. The diploma thesis describes in detail the process of grinding. A specific attention is given to the issue of vibrations observed for Grinder B600 and their elimination. Also included is the noise measurement for this machine. Finally, Grinder B600 is evaluated in comparison with the machines developed by other manufacturers. This analysis also covers the contribution of the new processing technology.
