Abstract
This work deals with the management of power supply of the household model. Alternative sources (photovoltaic power plant, wind turbine and cogeneration unit) and energy from the electricity grid are used for power supply. A lithium-ion battery and a fuel cell are used to store energy. The whole system is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC). In addition to the control function, it also estimates the energy supplied from alternative sources based on a forecast of meteorological variables downloaded from the Internet. The result of the work is hardware for connection of individual parts of the system (including measurement of key quantities) and software that processes the measured values and the obtained weather forecast. The human machine interface (HMI) web server is used to display the results, on which it is also possible to set the characteristics of individual system elements.
