The purpose of this Bachelor Diploma Thesis is to clarify the problems in the maintenance planning, making a teaching model for students. In the thesis, I deal with the system of the maintenance planning from its history and aims to new trends in maintenance. In the main part of the thesis, I define the planning and organization of the maintenance by an example of the maintenance organization Job Air – Central Europe Aircraft Maintenance a.s. Subsequently, I describe acts before and during maintenance, up to handing in a plane to the operating organization or the owner. Further, I discuss the legislative framework of the maintenance, planning, and the terms of handover a certificate to the maintenance organization. In the end of the thesis, there is a test for students, proving their knowledge about maintenance planning
