Abstract

This thesis deals with the co-firing of biomass for energy production with fossil carbon black. It is a blend of fermented grass and stalk with sorted household waste. The combustion test was carried out on the boiler K6 in Heating Plant Czechoslovak army in Karvina. It is a granulating furnace with related equipment’s during the burningof these coal powder. The aim of the test was to verify the combustion characteristics and technology of the boilers and related equipment by burning a mixture of these fuels. During combustion tests were performed large-scale emission measurements of gaseous and solid. With regard to the forthcoming legislation and regulations in the landfill and recycling will be put greater emphasis on the co-firing of these materials with fossil fuels. The aim of this thesis was to conduct combustion tests and to design the equipment for mixing alternative and fossil solid fuels together.
