Abstract

The dissertation deals with the proposal of company rolling stock renewal. ČSAD Logistik Ostrava, a.s. company was chosen to be the subject of this dissertation as the company managers were willing to provide the information necessary for working out the dissertation. The introduction of the dissertation will present the company business input analysis. Furthermore the basic terms will be mentioned connected with the method of determining the service life upper limit for putting a vehicle out of service. The subsequent part will feature the life cycles. The renewal life cycle will be the principal point for working out the dissertation. It will be outlined which methods may be used in order to calculate the optimum vehicle service life and to determine the upper limit for putting a vehicle out of service. The coherent model method will be described in detail, and the process of further calculation will be stated. Furthermore the analysis of the current company rolling stock available will be performed, and a group of vehicles will be chosen where the calculation of the optimum service life will be implemented. From the results proposals will be derived how to renew the rolling stock. In the conclusion the way will be chosen for the company how to proceed at the rolling stock renewal, with individual financing possibilities.
