The main subject of the Bachelor’s thesis is problems of Engine lubrication, mainly in the debatable areas of applications of different kinds of oil. Whether we use synthetic oil or Long-Life depends on their frequency of exchanges and on the technical condition of the engine. In the first part you can find the description of Engine lubrication system and its parts from the viewpoint of construction and working principle. Next part is about oil used mainly in the VW Group, its characteristics, distribution specifications. Oil manufacture and division is also mentioned.This is followed by the discussion of the problems in analysis of oil samples taken from VW Group cars, which underwent an analysis using tribotechnical diagnostic methods. The thesis is concluded by a discussion of the results of the analysis.
