Abstract

My bachelor thesis deals with structural design of auxiliary cutter head for 3-axes machining centre, which allows extension of operational axes of machine to 4th and 5th axis. The theoretical part of this thesis analyzes basic information about milling, milling spindles and cutter heads. The following practical part of my thesis contains structural design of mechanical auxiliary cutter head and its individual parts. The device consists of an auxiliary high-frequency spindle made by IMT and the mechanical positioning part. The design is implemented in two variants whose comparison is to be found in the conclusion. Subsequently I have included an evaluation on which solution is suitable for use in real situation.
