Reverse Engineering

Abstract

The main concern of this work is to explain what the actual process of Reverse Engineerig (RE) implies the principle of what works and what is its use. RE process is used both in engineering or the automotive industry to obtain the virtual 3D models of components or documentation but its application can be found in construction, architecture, health, or in obtaining the source code. It describes a wide scope in which this process is used, set the basic principles of 3D digitization and distribution methodology. The experimental section is intended primarily to capture the geometric shape of components and adjustment of scanned data.
