Abstract
Currently, there is an intensive development in the use of materials and new production technologies. These parameters have a direct effect on the efficiency of the production process and the resulting price of the products. From the point of view of the design of tools made of synthetic diamond or cubic boron nitride (CBN), great emphasis is placed on the purity of the material and the exact dimensional tolerance, which is crucial for the final quality of the products.
Within this bachelor's thesis, shape changes of three types of pressing tool sleeves depending on working conditions and the number of pressing cycles. The work is divided into two main parts, where the first part introduces the company Urdiamant s. r. o., the issue of the pressing process, the materials of pressing sleeves and the principle of thermal expansion. The second part of the work is devoted to an experiment, during which the individual types of press sleeves underwent a cooling and cleaning process after each press cycle, and subsequently their diameter sizes were measured at three heights. In order to avoid measurement errors, the experimental part was performed using two independent measuring devices. From the point of view of evaluation, it was important that changes in the shape (diameter) of the press sleeves did not exceed the tolerance of the diameter of the given grinding wheel. The achieved deformations were recorded and further analyzed at the end of this work.
