Abstract
Bachelor thesis deals with calculation of deformation of the conveyor belt by finite element method. Finite-element model is based on a physical sample of the conveyor belt. The results of experiments performed on this sample were used to validate results obtained from calculations by finite element method. The results from calculation of deformation are used to calculate area formed by curve of deformed belt. Calculations were made in Patran 2011 software.
