Abstract
The essence of this bachelor’s thesis is a construction design of components of a feeding
mechanism for a long-range sniper rifle using the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge. The goal is the
construction of a reliable feed mechanism, the bolt with all of key components and a stress
analysis including dimensions of the locking lugs and their count. Then there will be the design
of a two-lined magazine, optimized for 10 rounds capacity. An important part of the thesis is the
analysis of the .338 LM cartridge itself, including the ballistic properties.
