Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with accumulation and accumulation systems. Primarily, the devices associated with CAES technology are mentioned. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the principle of accumulation and the main variables are mentioned. Then the machines that are a part of the CAES system then the CAES system itself, it’s origin, advantages, disadvantages compared to other energy storage systems and the real systems that currently exist. In the practical part, an example of a compressed air storage system is designed. The basic conditions under which the input and output values are analysed and established. During the calculation there is a problem with heating of the compressed air that has to be solved. The impact of air cooling on operation and it's advantages and disadvantages are established. Furthermore, the design of the air vessel and it’s inspection according to ČSN 69 0010 standard. A model and a technical drawing of the welded air vessel is made.
