Abstract
The master thesis deals with a design of a device used to flip rail vehicle bogie frames. The topic arose and is based on the materials provided by Škoda Pars a.s. At first, the thesis describes the available methods of flipping. The specification of space where a manipulator should be used is approached too. Subsequently, several variants of possible design solutions are described. The main part of the thesis deals with the design of the selected variant as well as necessary design and control calculations. In the last part, strength calculations are provided including the control of the load-bearing frames of the manipulator by finite element method.
