Zhodnocení managementu týmů Formule 1

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vysvětlit management a objasnit důležitost výběru lidských zdrojů, což je pro úspěšnost týmu Formule 1 zásadní. Výběr a souhra týmu může znamenat výhodu nad konkurencí a tím i výhru šampionátu. Výběr pilota, konstruktéra a specialistů na jednotlivá odvětví ve výrobě Formule 1 jsou zásadní. Avšak i zdánlivě nepodstatné role, jakými jsou kuchaři pilotů, trenéři, maséři nebo návrháři uniformy přispívají k fungování týmu a jsou důležitou součástí, bez které by tým nebyl kompletní. Ve fungování celého sportu hraje důležitou úlohu Mezinárodní automobilové federace, která se stará o technické a sportovní pravidla celého sportu. Udržuje jeho zajímavost a sledovanost skrz politické nástroje, technologická pravidla a omezení. Objasněna bude její organizační struktura a financování Formule 1. Výkonnost a úspěšnost týmu ovlivňuje jeho řád, pravidla a správná koordinace členů týmu, k čemuž je potřeba zvolit správnou organizační strukturu. Přiblížena bude organizační struktura týmů McLaren Racing, Red Bull Racing a Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team.

This bachelor‘s thesis examines the management evaluation in Formula 1 Teams. The theoretical part explains key terms related to management including manager, sports manager, sport, Formula 1, organizational structures and strategy. The practical part evaluates the organizational structures of the selected Formula 1 team as well as the role of the International Automobile Federation and its financial situation. Formula 1 as a governing body has its own management and sources of revenues that were also inspected. Another theme discussed was the financial comparison and its influence on performance between two rival teams. The thesis provides an overview of the management evaluation of Formula 1 teams. Even though the team has more financial resources it doesn‘t mean that the team will be more successful. Over time Formula 1 is getting more technological than ever before. Every detail matters and for the team‘s success are crucial human resources thus having a great team is a crucial element of the team‘s winning.
