Abstract

TOŠENOVSKÝ. O. Viscosity Measurement by Rotary Viscometer: Bachelor Thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Equipments, 2010, 40 p. Thesis head: doc. Dr. Ing. Hružík, Lumír. This thesis deals with the measurement of viscosity using a rotational viscometer. First, the viscosity is described as a physical property of fluids. Following are examples of the viskosity measure in different types of viscometers and specifically describe how to measure with the Brookfield rotational viscometer, where the measurement is made and then describe the software for this device and written language B.E.A.V.I.S. The following describes the method of measuring density by Mohr dragonflies and next is described the measurement procedure of mensurement dependence of viskosity on the temperature, calculation of dynamic viscosity to kinematic viscosity and pronounced curves and measure flow curve of oil.. In the last part of the study are evaluated the measured results.
