Abstract
In the diploma work I engaged in the market position analysis of navigation device in Geocaching project. The object of work was to analyse and identify market position of Garmin corporate concerning other navigatin device manufacturers.¨
The diploma work is devidet into seven parts. The first part is opening. The second is targeted to introduction of the firm, the third part is interested in representation of Garmin company, Geocaching project and GPS conception. The fourth part gives the account of chosen research method. In the terms of fifth part, checklists data are evaluated. I used electronic method of questioning based on internet media. Also respondents answers are evaluated. The sixth part is interested in recommendation for Garmin company management. The last part is conclusion.
On the base of analyze results I performed methods to improve or to preserve current market position for company management. These analyses provide information that is helpful in matching the firm´s resources and capabilities to the competitive environment in which it realises.
