Abstract
The task of this thesis is to find suitable methods for identification of paper machines using vibration diagnostics tests to determine alarm limits for different production speeds. The introduction describes individual parts of the paper machine. Following part describes obtained results from vibration diagnostics on damaged bearings found in low-speed and high-speed paper machines. Defects were detected and monitored in the initial phase and followed up until – bearings replacement. Thesis also deals with methods for obtaining alarm values. Then alarm levels for low-speed and high-speed paper machines were calculated using statistical methods. Alarms were calculated for different groups of speed and separately for the drive and the operator side, too. According to obtained data and knowledge, these two paper machines are compared.
