Abstract
This thesis deals with the stress analysis of the calcaneal nail which is used in fractures of the calcaneus. This work is focused on the calcaneal nail C-NAIL produced by Medin a.s. company (Nové město na Moravě, CZ). Beginning of the thesis describes the structure of the bone tissue and its composition. In the next three chapters are described the types of fracture, treatment options, load analysis calcaneus and materials used for surgical instruments. Following is an analysis of contact boundary conditions and the applied load. Calculations are performed by Finite Element Method in program Ansys Workbench 14.5.7.
