Abstract
The goal of this master thesis is to design cooling system for the experimental measuring stand, on which piston combustion engines will be measured. The theoretical part deals with descripton of piston combustion engines and theirs cooling methods and methods of cooling stationary engines and cogeneration units. Practical part contains design of individual parts and devices of the cooling system and its subsequent adjustment with option of utilizing of residual heat of the combustion engine. In conclusion, all the costs associated to the building of cooling system are summarized and heat energy savings assumed to the utilize of residual heat to heat up the accumulation tank in VŠB – TUO labs is determined.
