Abstract

The thesis deals with the design of bench crusher for breaking coal placed on a scraper conveyor at the coalface. In the introduction I carried out a brief characterization of coal, its mechanical properties and a crushing process description, with summary of a few coalfaces crushers and their brief descriptions. Subsequently, a coalface design was made, based on the proposed criteria and relevant parameters, including the basic technical parameters calculation. The strength calculations follow to determine the dimensional and mechanical figures of the crusher component parts and are verified afterwards.
