Abstract
Diploma thesis deals with design of chain winch drum and as well as planetary gearbox. First part describes function of simple hoists and their driver system, followed by construction solutions of chain winches. After that, own design of chain winch is introduced, describing drum, planetary gearbox, motor, and bearings. Afterwards strength and design calculations of these parts are made. In appendix chosen drawing documentations is attached.
