This master thesis deals with the topic of airport check-in process, a process of ever growing importance in air transportation emphasizing improvement of efficiency and acceleration of passenger check-in related to streamlining airline carriers and their flights to select destinations.
The first part analyses legislation and directives related to passenger and passenger baggage transportation. The second part deals with the check-in and check-in security process. The third part describes options available for a suitable checking process and suitable technologies in air transportation that are emerging in larger and more advanced airports throughout Europe and globally. The last chapter presents an assessment of my suggestion of options of a modern check-in process.
